IMPORTANT ~ BEFORE YOU INSTALL:

1) Start with a fairly clean install of the MAW 1.30 game. If you haven't already done so, upgrade MAW to version 1.30 before applying this update. If you've modified MAW in any way then start with a fresh install of version 1.10 then update it with the 1.20, 1.21 and 1.30 updates in that order.

2) Prior to updating to 1.31, launch MAW in Standard Mode by using the "MAW ~ Standard Mode" icon on the desktop or in the start menu. If the icons can not be located, run the "Normal.exe" program inside the MAW game directory.

3) Run the MAW Spawning Configuration Utility and select Legacy Mode

UPDATING TO 1.31:

4) Download the dr_cfs3maw_c1_v1.31u.zip file and place the zip file into a convenient location on your hard drive.

5) Unzip the dr_cfs3maw_c1_v1.31u.zip file you just downloaded by right-clicking on it, selecting the "Extract All..." menu item and following the prompts.

6) Double-click the dr_cfs3maw_c1_v.131u.exe program to launch it then follow the installer's prompts.

7) When the installer Directory screen appears:

make sure you locate your current CFS3 Mediterranean Air War directory. (Note: the example image is from the 1.20 installer). The installation files need to be installed in your MAW game folder which is usually:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\CFS3 Mediterranean Air War

but you may have installed your game somewhere else such as on a second hard drive (D:). The normal location is already selected by the utility. If your game is elsewhere, click the "..." button then browse to the correct game folder:

select the CFS3 Mediterranean Air War folder then click the OK button.

8) Continue to follow the installer's prompts until it exits.
